Building skills based on businesses’ needs
Skills4Jobs, by SEV Hellenic Federation of Enterprises aims to help build the necessary skills among young people for immediate employment. It is designed to cater to businesses’ specific needs and serves as a 360° upskilling, reskilling and recruitment initiative linking with young professionals to improve their employment prospects in the private sector and especially manufacturing. Indirectly, it aims to highlight issues pertaining to the improvement of vocational education and training in our country.
about Skills4Jobs
Skills4Jobs is a complete reskilling and upskilling proposition, that includes companies’ assessment of their skills gaps, the selection of participating talent, intensive reskilling courses to cover specific needs and direct links with HR departments.
Skills4Jobs is designed to serve as a vocational training concept that can be expanded and upgraded through cooperation with Education and Training Institutions and Public Employment Authorities. While SEV’s plans include expanding the scheme to many professional categories and fields throughout Greece, this phase of Skills4Jobs is financed by private enterprises and Institutions.
Four training courses have already been completed!
- Information technology technicians
- Electrical automation technicians
- Industrial maintenance electricians
- Export specialists
- Includes assessment of skills that are in demand and of the shortages identified by businesses at the local level.
- Allows HR executives seeking to hire workers with those skills to participate in selection and training processes.
- Applies to young professionals with the motivation to reskill or upskill themselves.
- Delivers interactive training courses through vocational training institutions, which are designed to provide current and cutting-edge knowledge in specialised fields.
- Has employment in mind and successful trainees are immediately hired by participating enterprises for at least six months.
