About Reskilling 4 employment

Reskilling 4 Employment (R4E) was officially announced by the European Round Table for Industry (ERT) in May 2021. ERT is a high level forum which brings together CEOs and Chairs from a cross-section of 60 European industrial & technology companies. Established in 1983, its objective is to build consensus between business leaders on key themes affecting business and society.

R4E was devised by ERT’s Committee for Jobs, Skills & Impact, over a period of sustained research, outreach and consultation, to identify how best to address reskilling & upskilling needs in the European Union. In launching R4E, the goal of this pan-European programme is to serve as a hub that stimulates partnerships that provide reskilling opportunities to unemployed and ‘at-risk’ workers, so they can find employment in new occupations that are in-demand.

Programme Partners

Our objective is simple – to help people reskill towards more in-demand jobs, thereby improving people’s lives, enhancing social cohesion and boosting Europe’s competitiveness. Through this new program, companies will partner with European and national institutions, public and private agencies, with the aim of taking real action to ensure that Europe has the human capital and skills it needs to deliver the green & digital transitions.
