PRO_MOV by Reskilling 4 Employment is the national retraining program that is part of the European Reskilling 4 Employment (R4E) initiative. PRO_MOV began in 2021, led by Sonae, in collaboration with Nestlé and SAP, and in close cooperation with the public sector, namely the Institute for Employment and Vocational Training (IEFP) and the Ministry of Labor, Solidarity and Social Security. The Business Roundtable Portugal Association (Associação BRP) and CIP – Confederação Empresarial de Portugal, are key partners in the project, bringing it scale through the entry of numerous Portuguese companies from a wide range of sectors. PRO_MOV offers vocational retraining courses in a wide range of areas in the various sectors of activity. The training plans for the courses are designed jointly by the companies and the IEFP to meet the real needs of the job market. The courses currently have an average duration of 6 to 9 months and include a theoretical training component (IEFP) and practical training in a work context (companies). The areas of activity and the opening of new courses are dynamic according to the needs identified in the job market: Agriculture, Automotive, Business Intelligence, Digital, Green Jobs, Healthcare, Industry and Sales.
